AOR2 Query

Hi,

Haven't posted in awhile, but was wondering if it is normal my wife has yet to receive AOR2?

Our timeline is listed below with last contact from CIC being over a month ago. As far as we are concerned everything from our side is complete and we are also in Canada now (wife can visit for 6 months). We came to Toronto on April 3. It just would be nice to know where her application is...

Any insight?

Which visa office did they send it to after sponsor approval (if you have had this yet)?

If London, then London did not send me an AOR2, all I got was a sponsor approval PDF from Mississauga telling me they had sent it on to London. I then heard nothing (other than seeing things change on MyCIC) until I got DM and the CoPR some 4 months later. AIUI, not all visa offices issue an AOR2 - so I wouldn't worry about it.

Ya I had read not all send AOR2, but figured my wife or I would hear something by email or CIC account. As far as I can read in my Sponsor Approval email it states nothing about which VISA office my wife's application would be transferred to.

I'm under the assumption her application is in London...

I think this new sponsor approval letter is the 'new system' of forms introduced Dec 2016. Prior to that, on SA, the pack was sent to the VO and it was all stated in the SA letter (certainly mine was).

Now AIUI they approve the sponsor, but hold the pack in Mississauga while they ask for and get Schedule A and the medical. Only once these are received do they then send the pack on to the VO. Quite how, when and / or IF they actually tell you where they have sent it on to I don't know - perhaps something in MyCIC.

Happy for others to chip in and correct me if I have the wrong understanding.

Just received AOR2 this evening. States application has been transferred to Ottawa. Although, that is surprising as I figured it would be transferred to London. Either way, just happy they made contact...
