Did you upload the FBI report or state pcc at last.


I did my FBI upload in Oct end and still waiting for BG to start.. (PNP USA)

I had uploaded the NY State PCC with my application in August and had attached a letter stating that FBI takes longer & i dont have the clearance available yet. Then in Nov they sent me a letter (on 17th Nov) saying they have agreed to my request and gave me till 1st Jan to upload the FBI PCC also. I uploaded the FBI PCC on 18th Nov but have not heard anything from them since. BG not started yet, not even any ghost emails..

I got a wild assumption about with whom background check issue happens.

As i have seen in this thread , this phenomenon is happening mostly to Out land applicants whos files are currently handled by CPC Ottawa .

In some cases it goes into process one day before PPR or on the same day and in some other cases it never gets activates even after PPR.

Although there are exceptions to this, it happens mostly to people who are currently not in Canada.

I have a similar situation (AOR - Aug 8) where additional docs had been requested on Nov 24 and my background went back to Not Needed at this time from Not Started. Fingers crossed. Hopefully this week we will hear something.

did they give you a date until which you could submit your documents? I am assuming that they will only look at the application again after that date (for me it was 1st Jan)..

Thats not true i believe , because for people who are uploading extension letter instead of FBI PCC are getting extension on the 3rd day , so they are definitely checking what we upload .

Regarding date , mine was Nov 17 and till date no update .....

Yes - the CIC website says 'provided' in the status column for additional Docs. It got updated the next day (19th Nov) i think. Hoping that your BG check theory for Outland applications is true ;D

thanks for reply, But this is surprising considering the fact that many applicants got their PPR within 4 months.

Yes i agree but we cannot do much apart from waiting & hoping for a positive outcome..
Many AOR July also waiting for their PRs
