It's very application specific. There's no average time. However, I've usually seen a trend where (let's say) you get your AOR on the 1st of January. Your Medicals are mostly Passed within the fortnight. After medicals are passed, your Background check goes "into process" immediately. Within 10-15 calendar days, your background goes back into "not needed at this time" if your documents are on file. The date when it goes back to "not needed" is the time R10 is complete. This is based on GCMS notes I personally received and the trend I saw from other's notes.

Hope that helps.

You are almost at the three month mark. Now is a good time to ask for the notes, considering they take over 30 days to process.

You are welcome.

I have a friend living in Toronto, so I authorized her to get my notes.

1. First, you have to fill the consent form if you are not in Canada and if a third party will get them on your behalf.

Form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5744.asp

2. If you have a friend living in Canada, they can ask get you the notes via:

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

It costs CAD$5.00.

or,

3. If you don´t have anybody in Canada you will have to a third party. These came up on my Google search:

http://www.visafile.info/express-entry-gcms-requests/

http://gcmsnow.com/

The standard GCMS costs around USD$23.00

Thanks. I am residing in Canada. However, they charge some fees! I had heard it is free of charge!

Hi kaulvirus,

I would like to know what is R10? I have no idea about it? Could you please explain me what R10 is and how it is related to PR applicaiton and BOWP applicaiton.
