my eighth semester result will come in june .. Do you think they will send conditional offer letter before that..
i applied in carleton and u of m for sept'16 intake.. documents recieved on 22 march

ielts 7.5
btech 7.52/10(till 7th sem)

"Not Admitted"
Reason -
"There is no faculty member available in the Department of Computer Science to supervise your proposed graduate program. Please contact the department directly if you require further details regarding this decision."

Yup..got the same reply. I told you it has something to do with Industrial Option. Our bad luck I think and it's my fourth rejection in a row! Dint know I was that bad

I applied for Jun 2017 .

Well as I said industrial student dont need a supervisor at the time of application filling but they consult with all supervisor that who can accommodate how many students. If they cant because they are pretty full for now becaus eof high admission rate in uvic from last few years and also poor performance by students from India, Pakistan etc. Also they have now learned more about the universities back in India so they do compare all the students profile and how good you were in explaining your iew on why you want to do Masters.

2. For MS program, did you contact any professor before starting application form?.Also, is any approval required from professor for Meng course?

No, you can apply any time but check the deadline.

Yes I did, before I applied, I discussed with supervisor. I do not think you need approval for Meng course.
