anyone applying for proof of citizenship

Í applied in January 2015 for Proof of citizenship for my son from Israel,, it still hasent been received
im aware it could take up to 18 months anyone have any experience with that?
we want to move in February 2016 to Canada.. i want him to be a citizen 'so he can receive medical ect ect

Hi, I applied June 2015 for my proof, my father who is deceased now was a Canadian citizen lono before I was born. I applied to the Embassy in Kingston Jamaica and the estimated time frame is 8 to 9 months outside of Canada. I received my confirmation letter July and the status changed to 'in process' Oct 21st. I plan on moving back to Canada in June, so hoping for a positive result.
