Hello everyone! It's been quite some time from my last post and ambilis talaga umusad nitong thread na ito!

My visa got approved even though I was thinking na baka madeny ang application ko due to the factors na other people have mentioned here before like

My passport validity, it will be expiring on Jan 2018 but I'll be taking up a 2 year course (medyo hassle lang na magrenew ako ng passport etc.. pagdating dun pero that's the consequence, atat kasi ako makaalis. haha)
I have stayed in USA (J-1) for 1 year and thankfully they didn't asked for any FBI clearance (Do take note na I applied right away last January 2017 pagbalik ko dito sa PH pero up until now wala parin status kung kelan ko marereceive FBI clearance ko)
My parents are retired and have no source of income other than the monthly allotment coming from my brother
My grades are mediocre at bestand I have quite a few failing marks as well. I didn't even include the transcript of the 1st college that I was admitted to because I only passed 2 subjects there! In addition to that, it took me 6 years to finish a freakin 4 year course.

All in all, halos wala talaga akong confidence na makakapasa ako kaya I poured my heart out sa study plan ko. 2 pages lang naman siya pero nilagay ko talaga dun lahat ng reasons like why my grades were low, why I wanted to study again, why I took up the said course, why I wanted to study in Canada so and so forth... Nahirapan lang ako magexplain sa "ties" ang nilagay ko nalang parents ko saka I plan to work in the academe (imagine lakas loob ko no? haha).

Sa upfront medical wala naman akong naging issue and I only paid yung around 7k pesos sa St. Lukes BGC. Pero I'll do it nalang this week for piece of mind. Saka useful naman yun for sure.

As for my financial capability, my parents are sponsoring me and I submitted bank certs/statements worth 950k pesos, 2 land titles ng parents and then lastly, coe and letter of support ng parents and ng brother ko. Like everyone else, I already paid the 1st semester tuition fees to solidify my claims na magaaral talaga ako. I did not take IELTS, pero I have a letter of IELTS exemption and then English letter (mode of language) from my local university.

Anyways, finally I'm starting over again! This time I'll make it right na talaga and I'll give my all sa studies ko. Sana lang kayanin ko din isustain sarili ko sa Canada since I want to continue being independent and avoid asking money from my parents as much as possible. So far yung ipon ko from US will suffice for a year's worth of tuition fee. Gagawan ko nalang ng paraan dun at kapag super di na talaga kaya that's the only time I will ask assistance from them. Just to let you all know, I've heard a lot statements coming from people like my co-workers/managers/professors saying na kapag hindi ka ganito blah blah di ka maging successful sa industry na to etc... Sometimes I get depressed pero it became my motivation nalang to even work harder and prove to myself na kaya ko. So far so good... Slowly but surely I'm trying to achieve my dreams!

Good luck to everyone!
Hello en!! congratulations! :)

when you did your upfront medical sa St Lukes BGC, what day and around what time did you go there? and how long did it take you for the entire medical process? bumalik ka pa ba for a second day? :)

also, ano hiningi sayo nun when u did upfront? i'm planning on doing the same eh.

Thanks Chris!

For more detailed information check this out >>>> http :// www .slec. ph/canada-visa-applicants. shtml

I brought my passport, some photocopies of it and then 2pcs recent passport sized photos. The front desk was actually asking for like 3pcs pero since sakto lang dala ko inaccept na nila. Bring other ids din like UMID, birth certificate, driver's licence just in case, pero most definitely they prefer yung passport. Once you get there sabihan mo agad yung guard na UPFRONT Medical ka for Canada and then he will ask you kung student or working visa. Afterwards you're gonna have to fill out a form na ibibigay niya sayo.

Around 2pm na ako nakapunta. Konti lang tao, that was Feb. 15 Wednesday and nakauwi na ako before 5pm (which is parang uwian narin nila that time). Once you're done with all the tests they'll give you your e-medical information sheet. They said na pwede naman din daw bumalik anytime before I depart to Canada.

Btw, yung timeline ko pala is Feb.15 > upfront medical Feb. 28 > Submitted paper documents at VFS Global Manila > April 21 > Result (Visa approved)

May intake ako (spring semester). Hope that helps!

Have you guys experienced logging in your cic account and then after clicking on the "continue" button, babalik siya sa home page? Kailangan ko pang i log-in yung lumang cic account ko and then log out bago maka login ng maayos yung account ng wife ko. Kaya siguro di napa process yung sa kanya eh last March 8 pa siya nag lodge. :(
This always happens to me. It takes me more than 5 tries before I can finally log in. Usually kapag tinanong na ako ng security questions that's the time na nagwowork siya.

Hello po. I have a question po. Mas malaki po ba ang chance maapprove ang Study permit kapag publicly-funded and school na papasukan ko compared to private schools, while both of them naman po ay designated institution?
I'd pick the publicly funded one kasi there were cases before that a private institution lost its DLI status or suddenly closed down so naipit yung mga students noon po.

Congratulations sa mga na-approve and hopefully more to come!

Floje, yung akin nung di ako maka log in, sumulat ako sa tech support and ang nangyari is binura nila account ko and I just made a new one.

"Please note that we cannot issue a visa beyond the expiry date on the passport." is a generic statement attached to any temporary status application po yata. Regardless if new or pa-expire na si passport, kasama po yang statement na yan. Simply put, if 2 years po ang study ninyo pero 9 months valid nalang si passport, 9 months lang din ang validity ni study permit and magpapa-extend po kayo

Hi everyone.

I am trying to fill out the form imm1294 (appl for study permit). I've come across the portion where you need to type the tuition fee, room and board/other fees. I have 2 years study duration. My question po, How much do I need to indicate sa tuition fee portion? One year po ba or the two years? Although di po ba upon application naman, we only have to prove based on financial sufficiency the one year tuition and expenses? I need your advice on this.

Thank you for your answers.

Another question po, do we really need to indicate the cost for room and board. What if I am still on a research for accommodation pero I wanted na to submit my application for study? Can I just leave it blank or can I just indicate my estimated cost for my accommodation? If I indicate the amount, do I need proofs such as the rent contract, etc?

Thank you again..

Hi guys, im currently a nurse in a hospital and plans to end my contract in October 2017, hoping my student permit will be approved by then. My husband (whom probably would apply for an OWP) and I, will go exit from Riyadh thereafter. i am planning to apply in a canadian college for health care asst course for 8 months. we have around 8k CAD in our bank and hopefully will grow just good to cover the whole school fees. we traveled in 3 countries for just few days for each and was in riyadh for 5 years. any chances for a SP?

my main concern probably is the proof of funds/support and my SOP,

i'm choosing as my sponsor between (both citizens) my brother and uncle (husband of my paternal aunt. QQQ: should we show their marriage certificate, and my aunt and my father's birth certificates to connect the relationship?) a. my bro is a skilled welder with upgrade/schooling and her wife is working in a govt postal, with 2 pre-school kids and living in an apartment. also they have sponsored a live-in caregiver who's with them this year--- b. my aunt is a housewife and my uncle is a doctor and a consultant of a union, with 2 college kids and owns a home.-----QQQ: it's more comfortable though to ask for assistance from the brother but do you guys think he will be qualified or should I go with the uncle instead?

SOP/"ties in home country": Can I say, before my husband and I start another continuous years of working contract in the Philippines, I would like to take healthcare related courses in Canada. It is always an edge to have a Canadian Education in job applications. We also plan later to build a nursing home in the Philippines. With the number of OFW's in the Philippines who are exposed to nursing home culture in US or Canada, it's a good market for doing this type of service for the ageing family members.

We also have a house and lot in the Philippines. QQQ is it true though that our Philippine property and other titles that we may submit, should be assessed by a Canadian firm? any idea how to process this?

Would that help as well as home ties, if we also pass the titles of agricultural lands of our parents? we shall state in our SOP then that along practicing what i've learned from canadian course, we are also going to continue what we started in vegetable and fruit production. I could mention that with my nursing and health education, we became fans of health promotion and we plan to do grow them as our business.

Kumuha ako agad ng G1 for that.. or pwede ka din kumuha ng parang national ID provided that meron ka na place of settlement (where all your mails will be delivered).

Sa mga nandito na nga po pala sa Ontario, either starting their class or finishing it, magkita-kita naman tayo! Para may support system tayo! Kahit kape-kape lang! We can do it sa Toronto or kung saan man ang centro natin! Message me guys! Baka ilibre pa tayo ni scorpio ;D

One year ilalagay. Divide mo na lang. You only need to show I year lang naman of tuition.

Ranging from $300-$600/month for 1 year pero... ang gawin mo lang.
Good luck :)

@all veterans, ano po proof of residence na ginamit niyo noong bagong dating kayo?
That was my problem when I arrived in AB. They're very strict about the proof of residency. What happened to me is that I couldn't change my DL to AB bec of that issue. I bought a car then my DL is not AB so I waited my auto insurance to arrived by mail. Then i was able to apply dl and health card.

Hi po mga veterans just a quick question regarding IMM 1294
Status i am a single mom po then i got married last week lang sa form kase me tanong na
Have you previously been married or in a common law relationship? What will be my answer kaya?
Yes kse my anak ako sa unang partner ko then apelyido ng anak namin ay same sila
Or No kse im married na naman po.
If yes ang sagot kse i lagay ko ung details nung ex partner ko were not married naman
