Hi hopeful, are u traveling alone? bakit it takes you month bago ka nag re apply uli? kailangan daw may gap sa pag re apply?

Hi jaycee1027, the only reason I've waited for months to reapply is because of the police clearance from the US, FBI processed it for 2 months and I trnsferred to a new college. But the wait is all worth it. But as sson as you can reapply, Do it. good luck!

Hmmm, tricky situation. I honestly don't know if pag mag tatake ng another 1 yr PGD on top of the previous will be accumulated that will qualify for the 3 yrs PGWP? - Seniors, pls. help. If incase na pwedi, edi it will be a good option sa Ontario. Yun sa Manitoba, is there any other colleges or institution that offers courses that you need na mas close sa profession/ studies mo?

Hello sweetnovember! Di ba? : Most of us here kasi wants to have PR later on and medyo me time constraint pag 1 year Post Grad Program lang ang kinuha ko pag nag apply na for PGWP later on. Red River lang ang nagoogle ko na college, yung iba kasi University na and parang 2 years post secondary diploma na yung equivalent ng 1 year post grad or parang Masters na, hehe..
Anyways, i'll just keep on exhausting Mr. Google, baka me mabigay syang college sa Manitoba

Don't forget yun affidavit of support signed by your sponsor - which in this case is your dad, and all the properties, business, 4 months bank statements prior to the date that you will submit your application, bank certificates, work or business supporting docs or certificate ng dad mo and anything that will show the financial stability ng dad mo to support you.

Sa pag apply, I think mga 3 to 4 months before your desire intake

I agree, dapat careful tayo diyan You cannot get a 3 year PGWP if you take two 1 year PGD back to back kasi the PGWP will only be issued once for your most recent course. Ang best bet mo ay 2 year course para you will get 3 year PGWP. Medyo tight ang 1 year lang to get the work experience required for PR.

Ganun din yung problema ko before kasi I consulted with various agencies before deciding to do it on my own. May isang agency na nag-recommend na 1 year course lang, mas mura pa sila so muntik akong nag-sign up sa kanila. Buti na lang I did some research before proceeding kasi mapasubo sana ako doon. Eh sigurista pa naman ako I mean technically, you CAN do it with a one year course, but you have to get a job right away after graduation. I didn't want to take that risk

Di ko ni-research ang Manitoba, but try looking at the list of designated learning institutions sa CIC website, para mas madali: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-institutions-list.asp

Re: your work experience, fresh grad ka ba? o may gap na from your date of graduation to today?

Hindi naman grounds yan for refusal yung dalawa. Travel history will help (a little) in convincing the VO that you will not violate the terms of your visa naman. Mas mabigat lang ang work experience kasi yun yung magagamit mo to convince the VO na you are legitimately going to study in Canada so you can come back and find better employment here. All these can be countered if you write a good statement of purpose.

Disclaimer: I'm definitely not an expert on these things - in fact, magfa-file pa lang ako ng student visa ko this November. But I learned a lot from reading on here

It seems to me that everyone is so positive about the PGWP and permanent resudency application under provicial nominee or Canadian experience scheme. Don't put your hopes too high. Please read on the actual process on how these immigration schemes are done. It does not mean that once you get a job here, accumulated the required duration of working e automatic na approved agad. This is a misconception!!! I have met people here like physicians, PhD graduates and some very experienced professionals that are denied PR status upon application... Not that I'm being pessimistic, just being realistic...

hehe actually graduate ako ng october 2013,2013 and i took the board exam last may 2014. advisable po ba ilagay to sa SOP ? wala pa kasi ak work experience heheh

Ganun din naman yung mindset ko. PR is too far ahead for me right now. My focus is on getting a student visa and hopefully getting a work permit muna. But have to give myself the best chance possible so that's why I've decided what course I want to take. Here's hoping that when I graduate, may mag-open na paths to immigrate.

Yup, this is indeed a good reminder for us hopefuls As what the guy from the Canadian embassy told us during an open forum, we treat each applicant on a case to case basis That's why in my case, my program of choice is based on the opportunities it'll create once I graduate and go back to the Philippines while considering having the merits of working in Canada as well

@sweetnovember- yup, I'll just wait for their reply as from what I gathered, they usually take 2 weeks before they response. Universities on the otherhand may take months But I guess that's understandable considering the rigorous process each application undergoes. ;D
