Yes,u dont have to contact chc unles you changed ur address and they updated it wrong...u havw been geting all correspondence so they have correct adres on file

After a long long long wait of 50 days finally I have got my passports back with VISA

The visa sticker is new one, different from the visa sticker issed 3 to 4 months ago. Maybe due to this change they took a long time to return the passports. ;D ;D

I dont know abt middle east but i know in general Medical is valid for 1 year and pcc for 6 months... If you need link you should search cic website u might find something there

Im inserting an image which is an actual medical request received by an Indian applicant. At point 5, it is clearly stated that medical is valid for 12 months.

This is a closer up of point 5 so that you can easily read it.

As far as police certificate is concerned, than if you are applying to CIO, Nova Scotia then a Police certificate should not more then 3 months old. Check out link below:
