Dear friends,

I have sponsored my wife 7 months ago and her application for PR status is still at "Application Received". How long does it roughly take for PR application status change to "In Process"? Should I order GCMS note at this stage? Or, should I wait till her status changes to "In Process". Is there any link to information on how to order GCMS notes? How many times one can order GCMS notes?

I appreciate your help and feedback.

Hello Ihb007,

To answer your question about GCMS notes, you can order them as many times as you wish. The first time I did, there was nothing written on them, and decided to order them again...it takes 30 days to receive them by email....I would suggest you do, since you can verify the information that they have on you as a sponsor and for your spoused that is sponsored, and what stage there at! It does NOT delay ANY process on your application, important fact to know. If you need an interpretation of these notes, let me know and will try to help you!

As per the time process, well if you go on Iboxixodl spreadsheet and check the time length for each individual...it takes a while before it goes into process, and every case is different, but at least it gives you an idea.

I think you are right, we will apply for both Police Certificate and Medical exam right after our marriage gets officially granted.
Any friend from Iran, could you please advice me if the e-Medical or Up-front medical notification (receipt) will be issued the same day of exam to the applicant, I mean are all panel physicians connected to new system (e-Medical) to issue that receipt right away especially in Iran, or I have to wait to receive that from physician later.
And also would it be enough if I just put that e-medical receipt in our application, based on my knowledge I guess the CIC can find out the result after checking that IME code, like what exactly happened for my own PR application in Canada before.

Actually the notes said to request hold for ppt (jan.4 2014)...that is all and further along pages it said BF review: RFV.

On this site and others people have been debating on the meaning of this, both makes sense: refer for verification or Request for visa...
which you think I would prefer it to be ))???

Anyways, I am sure it will be any day now unless security check takes longer...on my end, he has not been anywhere, so I would hope it goes fast...!

I don't think this is necessarily true. I have heard of background and security checks being complete and then the visa office asking for the landing fee if it hasn't already been paid... it just delays the process by about three weeks because they have to wait for the fee to go through.

if you see spreadsheet you can find some application that waiting more than 3-6 month after request landing fee. for example nazli got PPR 1 year after landing fee request. always Ankara visa office say to her that your application waiting for security check.

i think that when they want to start security ask you for landing fee.
