If you did not meet your residency obligations your PR status most likely (if not certainly) will be challenged, report issued and you will have to prove that you had compelling reasons to stay out of Canada. Generally, almost anything short of very serious, thoroughly evidenced and or/grave circumstances beyond your control will NOT qualify for H&C.

For all practical purposes consider your PR status relinquished.

But whatever you do , do not provide misleading information and do not misrepresent your case to border officials.
It's one thing to lose a PR status (you can always travel back, apply for another PR etc.), it's entirely different thing to be charged with crime of misrepresentation. Latter will cost you more than PR status is worth.

I have not heard of any successful appeal of removal case where someone had less than a serious, well documented condition that literally forced someone to stay out of Canada beyond their will and control.
