ok, thank you, i hope all of this starts to calm down. Do you know of anyone who will be travelling this week and what their opinion was about travelling and landing?

I read that there are no issues on landing. It depends on the airline and boarding can be problematic. This is from what people have shared. And recently IRCC tweeted about people who have been approved for permanent residence saying they should wait for th next update.. please look at it for your clarification.

I found this on the IRCC website updated as of March 23, 2020;

How COVID-19 is affecting business at IRCC
Workers, students and approved permanent residents who haven’t landed should not travel yet. We’ve announced exemptions but they’re not in place. Travel restrictions are still in effect for these groups.
Only Canadian citizens, and permanent residents, and some foreign nationals travelling from the United States (US) who have been in the US for at least 14 days and are asymptomatic, are able to enter Canada by air at this time.

does anyone what happens if my travel document (COPR) expires and I haven't been able to enter Canada due to COVID-19? Just trying to plan this out as my travel document expires on July 29 2020 (i assume this date because this is when I had my medicals done last year).

This means I would have to do medical exam again and it would take another 3 months for them to reprocess my application? This sucks!
I would suggest you to keep a close watch and book your ticket. Anyways I am closely watching the situation to book ticket for my spouse. I can keep you informed when I am booking the tickets. Don’t worry you still have 4 months validity and you can make it before that.

I hope so. We will know when the exemption will.come in place but this whole covid situation is so unknown and not sure where it will lead to. If you could keep me in the loop when you are booking tickets that would be good. India is under lockdown until March 31st as well and we will know more about the exemption after this week so not much we can do at this point anyways except wait.
