Hi Farhan:

I am surprised to see you being a future teller as today CIC confirmed your prediction and spouse IELTS report will award 5 points to the principal applicant.

I wish you best of luck to a successful processing and PEBC exam. To know further from your experiences, CIC also confirmed to have credentials evaluated before sending the application. I am also a pharmacist but not affiliated with any hospital or retail level experience rather having Industrial pharmacist work experience at a pharmaceutical company. Can you please guide me the PEBC credential assessment process, also please guide since I have no work experience as a practising pharmacist do i need to have PEBC assessment or simple ICES evaluation.

thanks for your kind consideration.

regards:

Sajeel

Though I didn't read it in any official website of CIC, but as a general & strong belief of pplz, CIC would rather impose this condition - as if you claim points for spouse education / credentials, in that case they would also required the spouse to have IELTS taken with some (majority say 5+ bands over all) good band score.
Would again say, its not a definite or confirm statement, I just went through such type of blogs.............God knows better. On my side, at least I'm making my spouse to take IELTS in Sep this year.

Yeah, I'd gotten a positive PEBC documents (credentials) evaluation report. I've also completed 4 years B Pharm degree from Karachi University Pakistan and it worked. For that you may visit www.pebc.ca

Well, personally, I feel the new changes sound good to many. They've provided very flexible points for age and work experience. The only thing that the newly introduced is spouse language - but that was expected......so I suggest all to have their spouses language testing done with some good score. Uptill now, they've not cleared that what would be the minimum threshold for language ability.
Credentials assessment was being strongly expected and what they did............so every body who is planning to lodge the PR visa in 2013 should have their credentials assessed. At least I'd gotten a positive evaluation of my credentials.

Its now clear that credentials assessment is a must...........for pharmacy the assessing body is PEBC. So, don't wait any more and apply now, as PEBC take 2.5 to 3 months to get your documents assessed. In my case they took 3 months.
