Hi all,

I worked for one of the most famous agencies in the world. When I was hired they said they will provide me with a letter I need for immigration. I worked for them for about 5 months. No promise was made in written as nobody does about the letter.I took the job only because I was told I will be given a letter.

Now they gave me a letter without job duties even after multiple requests. I really want those hours to count. So, what are my options?

To discuss with them, as many people got rejected from the same reason, don't put yourself on risk !

I find it frustrating that there are some of you out there whose employers are this unreasonable.

When you were hired, were you given a list of duties in writing?

I had the same experience with my first employer and have since left them, however I persisted and sent emails to HR persistently and they finally gave me one at the end of August. Mind you I applied in March 2013 and got refused as the original letter my employer gave me did not list my job duties and responsibilities. I have since filed again and mailed out my application on September 4th with all the details on my employer letter after hassling them since May this year. Try persistence-hope it works!
