advised of a 1 week vacation to home country

I plan to go back to france for 1 week in june, to see my family
I called cic call centre this morning to ask if I need to mention it and the agent said he would put a note in the file with dates.
I was also said that if ever I change the dates to send a letter to Sydney
Did I do well to advise Cic?

Hi Flocan you should be fine. One week is a very short and temporary timeline. There has been cases where people have informed CIC about their absences from Canada but have still got test and oath invites. Sometimes CIC does act/ move in mysterious ways.

Moreover I am being honest by declaring my absence in advance

Just one week, and anyway you will not have nothing to do before -at least -1 year. Keep cool...
