Please am a master's student in Canada. In February my husband who is my sponsor applied for SOWP. He did his biometrics on 8th March 2024. After 5 days, we realized that his biometric details were not updated so a web form was raised to the Accra branch asking why his biometrics were not updated. We received a response from them that they have his details but for technical reasons, they won't be showing on his portal which assured us. Even before raising the web form, we called VFS and they told us his details had been sent already. Fast forward, he passed his medical on the 13th of April and on the 26th of April, his application was refused because he had not submitted his biometrics.
We were devastated by this news, so we decided to visit VFS to find out what could be the reason. Upon further checking with the lady we met there, we found out that the IRCC number used was different. Like he has two IRCC numbers. One from VFS and the other from IRCC.
We were asked to send an email to the Accra immigration and then put them on copy. We have done that but haven't received any feedback yet.
Please want to find out if someone has also faced a similar thing before and how was it resolved.
