Academic advisor required or not????????????????

Hi

Do we need accepted by an academic advisor for M.Eng program??? or its necessory only for M.Sc???

Acceptance from an Advisor is needed when you're pursuing a research based course. The supervisor can on his hand provide you with funding/ scholarship once he agrees to supervise your Masters program. As per "Taught" courses, the Faculty reviews the application and grants the admission.

PS: Scholarships for Taught Courses are very rare!

M.Eng is course based program but in uni's website its written that u need an academic advisor first regarding all degree programs..
i have applied in University of Manitoba for M.Eng in electrical n computer engineering
