About reference letter

They request for busines card of the officer that sign the referene. Is this really compulsory as some employer did not have business card. Is it so comulsory. Should one make cards on there behalve since I know there phone no, email, addresses.

I would like to add another questions.

If employer is not interested to give any reference, what to do ?

i don't think so its compulsory , u can justify if its true that u work in the co. then just send the reference letter with a covering letter.
2ndly if the employer not willing to give reference letter . then u shud explain the situation with a letter stating the reason y employer is not willing to give ..
