A Strange Inquiry about Passport REnewal

Friends I have my EE PR is in process submitted in December 2018. One of my family member's passport is expiring in October 2019.

My query is : Is it a good idea to send my family member's passport for renewal NOW or wait till PPR and after PR issued I go for passport renewal?

some people say that if you send passport renewal of your family member at this stage then it will result in application delay.

Please share your thoughts. Appreciate your advise. Thanks
