Hey guys!

Just need a clarification on this flagpoling. Say my husband comes to Canada on his TRV towards the end of our PR process. When he is approved, I read that he could go to a land border to actually "land" as a PR, am I correct? Does this process require him to actually enter the US at all? Because he does not have a visa (and needs one!) for the US, only Canada...?

Hi

Yes, he can go to the border to land. He doesn't actually need to enter the US, so a visa is not required. He will tell US CBP that he is flagpoling and they will turn him around with an Administrative Refusal.

Thank you!!

Would this "refusal" at the US border have a negative impact on future US visa applications?
