A query on funds for family settlement

As per the immigration requirement, for the funds the CIC mentiones the follows - demonstrate sufficient liquid funds to support you and your family’s settlement in Canada.

I have most of my investment in Mutual Funds. Can i show this as required funds?

Mutual funds are near liquid investment, they are good POF.
