365 days calculation for CEC

Can someone help me with this question please.

Are partial days considered physical presence in Canada? When calculating physical presence, can I include both the days of exiting Canada and returning to Canada or just 1 of them.

For example, if I entered Canada on 1st Jan and left Canada on 31st Jan, will my be physical presence inside Canada be 31 days or 30 days.

I made several travels outside Canada. Couldn’t find any threads related to this.

Hi!

When I searched, I found only rules for citizenship. Assume that they are the same for PR, but can't be sure.

"Absences will be calculated only for days where an applicant spent no time at all in Canada. Dates where an applicant left Canada, or returned to Canada will not be counted as an absence since the applicant was physically present in Canada for a portion of both days".

Thank you. Yes I saw this and was not sure if the same thing will apply for PR applications too.
