Hi All!

I'm starting this thread so all Latin America applicants with Mexico City VO can share time lines and experiences. Currently there is not much information in the forum for Latin American applicants so it would be greatly appreciated if you can share your info! Thanks
what's with your beautiful avatar?

Yellow, for the sun and land of the people and for sovereign and justice.
Blue, for the water that holds up the people.
And finally, Red, for the blood shed by the people who fought for the independence of Colombia.

Hello everybody,

I applied from Dominican Republic, but according to CIC, they forwarded my application to Mexico City VO.

My timeline:

App received: 22/08
CC charged: 20/11
PER: 10/12

Still no AOR nor MR request. I'm bit worried, since 64 days have passed from PER and according to the spreadsheet, the average time is 60 days.

Hopefully, the VO will speed up.

Good luck to all.
Don't worry, my MR took more than 90 days. As for AOR, I saw the second line on ECAS a whole week before getting the AOR email (that stated the AOR date as a week before), and 20 minutes after AOR I got MR and RPRF. They 60 days average number is greatly influenced by the first couple of cases back in May that ran super fast as they were the first of the line, so it doesn't apply today (it only makes people anxious)

Hello charalito,

You're right, it only makes people anxious. Thank you for your feedback, this info gives some peace of mind.

One question, did the VO contact your workplace in order to inquire about you?

hi charalito. Do you mean 90 days from PER? If so can you share the date of your PER? Thanks.

A little more on our application

Got PER 27/10/2014
Second line on ECAS appeared as "started processing application on 21/01/2015"
Received AOR on 28/01/2015, 9am
Received MR and RPRF on 28/01/2015, 9.30 am

I am self employed and have not received any verification calls. Haven't been alerted by previous employers (but they were big companies where background checks are routine)

So yeah, 90 days was my case. The 60 days average was for people who applied back in May. I began freaking out on day 61, thinking my application was being denied, that I had made a mistake by not hiring the consultant and so on (the usual). But eventually the process started flowing again and now we're more relaxed.

Forget about the 60 days average. Have fun, lose yourself in your life and current job. Things will come :)

Thank you for sharing your timeline!! However, I hope they will pick up the pace, since they already made the first cut in Express Entry and I don't think (hope) they will drag us for much longer (remember: they promised to process Express Entry's applications in 6 months or less).
Anyway, as Charalito said... Don't worry, be happy :p but sometimes I get worried ;D

Thank you for sharing your info. It seems that I'll have to wait one more month ...

I asked in the company I work for if someone from abroad have called during the past weeks asking about me but apparently no calls.

Have a great weekend.

Hi all!!!
My husband and I have been nominated to live in Manitoba. We sent our application to CIO on June 26, 2014 and we got our PER on Aug 28, 2014. Although we are Cuban our application were sent to Mexico VO. They sent us the medical request on Oct 2, 2014 and they received our results on Nov 4, 2014. Since then, we are waiting for the passport request. My application status have two lines: 1) application received (on June, 26) and 2) Medical results received (Nov 4, 2014).
I would like to share information with people who are in our situation!!! We would like to know how much time is spending Mexico office to request passports after all documents, payment and medical exams have been submitted.
Thanks in advance!!!

Hi everybody!

Thank you so much Koolaid for this great initiative. I was freaking out in the other forum since their general timelines are quite different from us, and I was thinking that something was wrong with our delayed applications in Mexico. Now with this perspective we can have a better expectation.

I will keep you all informed about my process. Today is the 84th day after PER and maybe a little bit closer to my MR.

Have a nice day.

Nikoniko Thanks so much for this summary! I heard from someone that MCVO usually takes 90 days after PER to issue MR. So I guess we all have to be patient !!

My PER was on Oct 8th, and I have not received AOR; however today I got an update in ECAS; my second line was added saying that the processing started on feb 16th, I believe I hold the record for more days between PER and 2nd line in ECAS ;D

Bottom line, dont lose hope, and be patient, it may take a while!
