2011 Inland Application ( Landing)

Dear All,

I have a question and wish one of you can provide me the information.

I am now in Canada and have applied inland application. I would like to know once I get the Decision Made from CIC. When I have to land? and normally how long it is?

Since I would like to go back to my own country from Canada and collect all my belongings before I land.

I can apparently take up to 6 - 8 weeks after DM, before you hear from your local office about a landing interview.

Having said that, there are cases where some people have landed a week after DM. Some people receive the landing letter from their local office before they receive the DM letter from Vegreville.

You can apply for an open work permit after AIP (first stage sponsor approval), if you haven't already done so with your PR App. That way you have anywhere from 1 month to 8 months where you can travel and go get your things.

Unfortunately CIC doesn't seem to have a fixed policy on these things - but hope that helps.
