Is it mandatory to have the "Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec" done before applying?
I'm planning to request it in the next coming weeks and wanted to know if I need the result before I can start my application.

Simple answer is "No " it's not mandatory but it's always good idea to have the evaluation done before or upon arrival. It will help to enter the job market (especially if you are from the regulated profession's background ).
