    Citizenship with H1-B

The H1-B status remains valid as long as it remains valid in your receipt (I-797). Once you receive your Canadian passport, make sure you inform the border officers that you have acquired Canadian citizenship and would require a new I-94 stamp on your Canadian passport and you should be all set...

    Eligibility for sponsoring spouse

Hello, I'm a permanent resident living in Canada and commuting to work in the US. I'm married and my spouse is living in the US. I travel occasionally to stay with my wife on some days. Am I eligible to sponsor my wife if I commute to work daily to the US?

I did some research few hours ago and looks like there's a double tax treaty between Canada and the other country in Europe. I haven't looked at the fine...

Paying Taxes in Canada as a Permanent Resident while working in Europe

Oh! Thanks for the heads up Rob_TO! The only "ties" that I can think of are my bank accounts, credit card and a drivers license. If these are active during my time off Canada, I end up paying double taxes, both in Europe and Canada and with no money in hand eventually.

Paying Taxes in Canada as a Permanent Resident while working in Europe

Hello, I landed in Canada a month ago and became a Permanent Resident of Canada. My former US employer did not want to let me go and offered me a new position in Europe temporarily which I'm inclined to accept. This position is not permanent and will return to Canada after 10-12 months of...
