Hong Kong Police Certificate Problem and no response to CSE

Hi FutureCandian, No worries! And thanks for your reply. I did something similar. I'll post below what I did for future reference: I submitted a "letter of explanation" via the online platform instead of the HK Polive Certificate (HK PCC), explaining that an official request with VO address...

Goods to follow... Should I lump it all under PR or SA?

Thanks Hurlabrick! That's what I reckon as well. Still puzzled why the movers all say put it under my name just because I'm a returning Canadian. f anything, I thought that would be an issue! :-P Appreciate your advice.

Goods to follow... Should I lump it all under PR or SA?

Hi all, I'm a returning Canadian (non-resident for over 10 years) who is sponsoring my wife who got her COPR. We got moving companies to quote for the move, and they all say it's easier if I just declare all "goods to follow" under my name as a returning Canadian. When asked why it's easier...

My GCKey changed to "approved" 5 days after DM on ECAS. Received COPR in the mail 2 days after (i.e. sent out on same day as GCKey approved). No PPR because no need for Visa for my wife's PP.

Hi Kaenicolas, yes they did. On 8 Feb, exactly one month before status on ECAS became DM.

Haha yes! We can compare notes :-P One mover told me that if the move date is end of month, be sure to book asap because the last week of the month is always busy!

Awesome! Maybe we can exchange tips on things like finding a mover, etc. I've booked them to come to my home to estimate the cost of shipping to Toronto. Will let you know how it goes if you're interested. :-)

AlmostMove, My wife's case is just like yours. Got "approved" today but no "messages below" and nothing by email. So I guess, like Lucky2018, we just wait for landing papers by mail. Please keep us updated and I will do the same. :-)

Thanks Lucky! Just checked my GCKey, my wife's case is also approved today! And like AlmostMove said, no "message below" and no email. So I guess, as you said, just wait about a week for landing papers by mail. :-)

Please take my answer with a pinch of salt because I'm still in progress, but I've searched these forums quite a lot. How long? It depends. My wife's has taken just shy of 9 months from receiving the app arriving at CIC to DM appearing on ECAS (though not on GCKey, which has a BCG in progress...

Yes they did, 3 times if I recall, including for Medical, Schedule A, and PCCs since age 18. Note: I couldn't send HK PCCs the first time because the first request didn't have an address for a VO, which is required by HK police, so I uploaded a letter of explanation via GCKey instead and...

Thanks for that, Miraclejj BTW Would you know if PPR is required by HKVO for visa-exempt countries? I saw on other threads (non-HKVO) that some people only get their COPR by mail, with no need for PPR (i.e. no need to send their passport to get a "sticker"). I think this is the "landing papers"...
