    VFS: Is it complusory??

Man! these are the times when I miss the dislike button :) Just kidding! :) At the end of the day, I'll do what I judge is ok for me and if I want to take the risk of sending directly to the embassy via DHL, I promise I won't come back on the forum to cry if it goes wrong :p

    VFS: Is it complusory??

did some digging today as well. VFS pretoria is charging 60% less than the VFS in my country. Even if I add the courier cost, it's still less for 4 passports. I have called VFS Pretoria, I need to courier the passports and the docs as requested by CIC, the consent form (from VFS pretoria web...

    VFS: Is it complusory??

Well for 4 persons it's surely higher for me. And what beats me is that I did everything by myself, without paying an agent. And for the final part, just to put the passports in an envelop, I need to pay the VAC. But then you are all right, there should be a reason for the VAC and better to...

    VFS: Is it complusory??

I'm trying to dodge the VFS too... I don't see the point in sending my passport for them to send it to the Canadian embassy. It does say the following in my PPR, so I know where they'll be sending it. "1. Submitting to the High Commission of Canada in Pretoria Passports should be submitted via...

Hello kashjuni, Were you able to make out, why your PPR took so long from IP2? I seem to be stuck at IP2, too. And mail from CPC Ottawa, says application is approved, but no PPR mail yet. Thanks for your insight!

    The anatomy of a Background Check? - <<<<<<IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS>>>>>>>

Hello LegalFalcon, I'm FSWO, AOR 28th Mar. I've ordered GCMS yesterday and by the time it's arrived, i'll probably have eaten all of my nails. Hope I get PPR before I'll have to resort to eating my toe nails too  Anyway, in response to my status inquiry, CPC Ottawa replied that my...

AOR in January 2017 - Connect Here!

That makes sense ..........Well sort of, I've seen in this thread or some other that there is someone with application approved in May and he got PPR on 2nd Aug only. Mine is on IP2 since 12th July (almost 1 month) and I got the mail that it's been approved on 28th July. Could be that there's a...

AOR in January 2017 - Connect Here!

Thanks Navd & thestunner Do you people have any idea, why they keep approved applications hanging for so long, without sending PPR mail? I mean, why not just shoot the mail and get it done with?

That's true :) But than there's also a difference between CIC's Intake Office (CIO), the Central Processing Centres (CPC) and the other local Visa Offices. And each of them has there own way of communicating with us. But then, you are right they are all still CIC :)

Actually, the reply was from Ottawa Visa office and not CIC. It seems that my "local" visa office is Ottawa. I guess my real visa office will just do the visa stamping and all processing and decisions will be done by Ottawa.

mine is the same, except for Review of additional documents which says "We do not need additional documents." My agent raised a CSE to Pretoria visa office which was supposed to be my local visa office. She got a reply from Ottawa office saying that my app is being processed there. She then...

Hello Friends, My AOR is 28th March. My agent has sent me screen shots of my status changes, so I know that I became IP2 on 12th July. So, it's like 21 days, since I'm on IP2.
