SEPTEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hey BonManush, It's not really worth it getting the Ontario ID card, if she is planning to get her driver's license.... She will have to give it up and if I remember well the Ontario ID card costs $30 and takes at least a month to be issued, so it's the same time approx. as a bank statement...

SEPTEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Congrats kitty_T, Yes you need your bank statement so you can apply for OHIP. No need to stress about it, as you have to wait 3 months before you become eligible for OHIP. Once you get your bank statement go and apply, and they will sent your OHIP card 3 months after the day you got landed...

Hey binny_31, I believe that yes you need to get CSQ to sponsor your wife. You have to follow the Quebec province immigration rules, as you are living there now, and you think that by the time your wife will get approved you would still be in Montreal. Best of luck :)

SEPTEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Shema, If your husbands gets approved and receives his COPR, his medical will be extended for 6 months since the COPR. This is how long is valid the COPR and he needs to get landed during those 6 months. Good luck :)

Hey love(ao), It's normal for Ecas to still show in process for both the sponsor and the sponsored person. As you got the SA, the sponsor means that has been approved, but they rarely update the ECAS for that. I have been landed for almost 3 months now, and still on my ecas shows sponsorship...

SEPTEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

You can give them a call, or when I went through the borders, they asked me to check that everything is correct on the COPR before I signed it. Any mistakes the officer corrected them with pen, one copy goes on your passport and the other one with your photo on, they keep it so they can prepare...

I don't really know about that. Maybe if you look into the forum there are more people that order their notes and might know more than me. I think there discussion about that. But beside the medical examination, they also they do the criminality examination, relationship etc. If your order...

    AUGUST 2015 - OUTLAND Applications

I don't think you have to list items that are already in Canada. When I crossed the borders ( i was already in Canada) they didn't ask me what I already brought with me, but what I was bringing now (that it was nothing) or what I will bring later on. Well I don't think either you have to list...

Congrats forfaa :) love (ao), You can do the medical even before they asked you too, but there is a chance they will not ask you a new one, they might extend the one you alreday gave them. It all depends from your VO. From which country are you? You can order your GM notes and see from...

Congrats canadafsw2015 :) Happy landing to your wife. Once you get the passport back yes you can either go to a local office or cross the borders. I crossed the borders, is way faster. It seems that at the offices it takes longer, you need to book an appointment and if you are in Toronto, it...

    AUGUST 2015 - OUTLAND Applications

Hi :) you have to get landed first. It seems that you can do it at the airport too if you are landing there. Otherwise the next day you can just go to service Canada, they will give you your sin number immediately, just a bit of waiting time there :) Happy landing :)

    AUGUST 2015 - OUTLAND Applications

Hi Shwemir, I don't think you should apply for an extension as they requested your passport. But what you can do is to call them to tell you what is going on and they will advice you what to do. I believe you will get back your passport and COPR before the expiration of your visitor's visa...

SEPTEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hey ja7toronto, Did your wife went to apply for her health coverage? If you are in Ontario she can do it after she gets landed, but will get it 3 months later after the day she gets landed. However, bare in mind there is a requirement from OHIP that for the first 6 months since she gets...

Hey Aman_Khatra, I was already in Canada for the whole process and just crossed the borders at Peace Bridge to get landed. You can't get your SIN number in every landing entry, I suppose it depends where you land :) Beside the waiting time, Service Canada is not that bad, just go early. Once...
