Hey All, Once you get the immigrant visa stamped, what happens to any previous temporary resident (visitor) visa? Does it get invalidated? Or can one still use them till you formally land as an immigrant? Anyone who knows, please revert! :-) Best wishes to all.

Yes you can send. It'll be back in 7-10 days. We had no trouble. (What it says about not sending out of country is that you shouldn't send Indian passport out of India.)

Hi All, I app-ed from US. CPC-Ottawa. Medicals received Mar 17. RPRF charged earlier in Feb. Is it normal to have almost two month after RPRF for a decision, for CPC-Ottawa specifically?

1. Don't think there is any restriction. What you need to do it let them know (declare on the form). That should be all. 2. Depends on many things including job availability in your area of choice as well as the weather. If you are from a warm country, landing up in Feb might not be ideal

Well, my visa office is actually not London. But I can tell you that for me also it took 3.5 months. At that time they sent MR request along with PCC request and Fees request in a sudden flurry of activity. So 4 months may not be something to get too stressed just yet.
