PR card sent by canada post?

Don't mind the PR and important visa documents sent by cheap Canada post. Everyone is worried about how pot smokers will get their fix instead: :'( http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/medical-marijuana-pot-canada-post-strike-lockout-1.3652265

Denied Work Permit and Red Flag

There is no way on earth you would get a red flag for a denied work permit. You would get a red flag for working without a permit. Something is not right with that story, I sense there was a criminal record or something..

minimum income status change - ? black hole

Are you saying that he is unable to resubmit/readjust his family sponsorship application with a different amount of persons he is undertaking? Just because he got married?

    Out of Status?

Its really amazing that it is happening, I guess our new new liberal government has tightened a few loose screwes at CIC offices ;D. Our application was processed within 8 months and it was considered normal... now people are getting their COPR within 2... I remember how COPR happened within...

minimum income status change - ? black hole

I think the right thing to do would be to let CIC know asap that your status has changed, you may have to downgrade the sponsorship of your parents to 2 instead of 3 (but they may even let it slide). Other then that as long as you are honest and not hiding things it should not be a big deal for...

    Wow..1 month and COPR received

wow good for you ;D, never heard about the whole application being done this fast before. 2 months for us was just the first stage SA approval haha

    'Decision Made' and 'documents returned'?

Just try calling them, once we saw DM and called a few days later they told us that COPR was on the way. "Documents returned" sounds very misleading though, I wonder why would they use such language...

    Waiting for PR CARD - 2015 / 2016

I think it did say something like that in November last year as well, but we still had to wait 92 days...

    NO SA YET

Marriage certificates have to be sent as original copies in English or French, this is specified even on the CIC immigration forms. In our case they asked for a photocopy from a sponsor, but for an original from an applicant, so we sent 2, basically an original and a photocopy of it, yes I...

Successful PR applying OUTLAND while being in canada as TOURIST all time.

Well done amhel! 16 months sounds almost like an inland application though. Was it easy to extend 3 times? We have done it only once while waiting for PR, I am just wondering if CIC has consecutive hidden rules after the first extension expires.

    Waiting for PR CARD - 2015 / 2016

We finally got our PR card today, took exactly 92 days or 3 months from landing. CIC currently states 73 days for new PR card, so I guess you can add roughly a month to whatever it says :)

    Post IP blues?

No one really knows how CIC processes work exactly, we have ordered twice before IP and each time there was updated data

    Post IP blues?

Ordering CIC notes has helped the *blues* thing, if you do that at the beginning of each month then there is a piece of mind and in a way you can keep a closer look on your file(cause call centers are useless). It wouldn't cost much extra, $5 each time.

    Posting issues

Happens to me too, I have noticed if you completely log out, close your web browser, reopen it and then log back in, issue goes away.

    Post IP blues?

Yep, we got our SA after about 2 months, then In Process happened after 4 more and shorty after 2 more COPR was received in the mail. So I think you are doing good 8)

Wedding photos or not for sponsoring wife

Oh really, where does it say in CIC guides that quick wedding is trouble? We got married on Friday afternoon in the city center without any ceremony(whole thing took about 20 minutes) and had absolutely no issues with our immigration process. It is a personal choice how people want to get...

    CPP-Ottawa

You can always send it as registered mail, that way CIC will have no excuse they have not got it. Make sure you label the envelope correctly.

    New Permanent Resident Card

Based on what others have wrote, you can expect to get your PR card in about +4 months from your landing. We still have not received ours. I am wondering why can't you just use your US passport and COPR, and explain the situation at the border if there are any questions.
