Well sorry to hear that, but as you know applying for a Canadian visitor visa these days is like playing a lottery:). I agree there is no appeal process against visa officer decision. However, based on the rejection reasons, you should work on improving your application for next time. I would...

Anything is possible at this time. Time could vary as well. There were couple of members who applied just like you from Lahore VFS on May 22, and got their passports back on Aug 5. So you can calculate accordingly. However, my mother-in-law applied on Jun 2, and still waiting for their...

My wife took my two daughter to canada and applying for asylum

Why do you want to keep someone, who obviously doesn't want to see you? I don't believe you can do anything to stop her from claiming asylum in Canada. Ofcourse Immigration officers would hear her and make a decision according to her application and circumstances. So they may refuse. Only...

Wow Assassin. Although, a request of passport does not really mean that visa has been granted, but if your wife actually gets TRV, you would be really lucky. Best of luck.

Assassin, that sounds like a good news. You mentioned TRV. How come your wife was being asked for a medical? Also, are you living in Canada or you are in Pakistan and your wife has just applied alone for visiting Canada? Please also advise if you applied online or had paper application. Thanks

Thanks fkl. So I guess Canadian Embassy is still operating in Islamabad. Although, this case was for work permit, so timeline doesn't really apply to TRV.

Hi, did anyone recently got the decision (received passport) from Canadian Visa Office Islamabad? Please share your timeline. We have applied since Jun 2, but still haven't received the passports back. VFS website says due to the political instability, movement of passports might be delayed...

m11nk, I wouldn't recommend applying for a visitor visa, as you are already married and your husband has a PR card. The best and only way in my opinion for you is that your husband applies for family sponsorship. Temporary Resident Visa might be just a waste of time, money and effort for you.

Re: Help Needed : Visit Visa to Canada Beenali, I would suggest you call CIC Visa office. As you can read people who applied on May 22, already received their passports. Although, processing on each file is different and may result in different processing times, you should still try to call...
