Hi guys :) I received my passport yesterday along with COPR after 2 weeks :) Yayyy! I was all excited and then I realized on COPR , as my last entry to Canada port and date info, they put down the information I provided them when I applied and since then I travelled :( And as original entry to...

    July 2012 PR Applications

I am sure this is a very common situation so I would think that a senior VO would see this right away. Initial evaluations are probably done by entry level employees and their checklists :)))) Just trying to think positively cuz I would be so annoyed if they screw this up. Some of their...

    July 2012 PR Applications

This detail always created confusion and I am in the same boat as you. I talked to couple of past applicants and came to the conclusion that they count the experience after your diploma/degree date. Being on off campus work permit during that time doesn't matter, obviously it is a transition...

    April 2012 PR applications

Sorry about your rejection. It really doesn't make sense. According to the cic website, you need to have two years of study – At least 16 months—or four semesters—within the 24 months before completing a full-time post-secondary program of study in Canada. 4 courses was considered a "full time"...

reference letters for past three years

And that "work experience in Canada" section of the check list is providing supporting documents for Schedule 8 form. Therefore, I would think reference letters are not required for every single job you did in Canada in last 3 years.

reference letters for past three years

You only have to provide reference letters for jobs that fall under NOC A,B and 0 in last 3 years. If you look at the form schedule 8 form, it says under work experience in Canada section " List only occupations that fall in Skill Type 0 or Skill Levels A or B of the NOC".

Post Graduation Work Permit - HELP !!

None of my friends including myself got PGWP in less than 2 months. Once you apply you are in impied status so you are allowed to work till you hear from them on your off campus work permit. I think 2 months sounds like the normal time frame. It should be Ok if you submitted all required stuff-...

Post Graduation Work Permit - HELP !!

Also I received my PGWP after 2 months. So it might take them up to 2 to 3 months. That is the normal timeline. You are good for now I think.

Post Graduation Work Permit - HELP !!

From your timeline, it looks like you are already a landed immigrant. Why are you worried about the post-grad work permit? If you received your permanent residency after you had applied for PGWP, they might have just cancelled that application as you do not need a work permit anymore.

    July 2012 PR Applications

Hey, No, they wouldn't. Just send them a copy of your NEW passport pages along with a letter saying that this is your new passport as soon as you receive the new passport. I am in the same boat- I will have to renew my passport this month. As long as you keep them up to date with your current...

    Application Refused

@SenoritaBella: Thank you very much for your effort to help :) I read that instruction guide couple of times before I prepared my application. And my understanding from that work experience related section was once you graduated and received your diploma, work experience gained after that...

Hi guys, I received my AOR today.

    Application Refused

@SenoritaBella: If that is the case, their instructions are useless. Because the only information they emphasize is the work experience has to be gained after receiving canadian credentials. They don't say only the experience gained after receiving PGWP will be counted. Plus we send in our...

    Application Refused

The thing is after graduation it takes them 2 months to issue the PGWP and during that time if someone finds a job right away, you are allowed to work with the off campus work permit. But obviously it is after graduation. So you are saying that time would still not be counted?

    Application Refused

Hi there, I am a little bit confused because after finishing school we are allowed to work with our off-campus work permit till we receive the PGWP but that doesn't mean the work experience acquired during that time is considered before graduation. Your graduation date is well before the PGWP...
