Quick Update...my husband received an email today today from CIC (Buffalo) stating that our file has been transferred to NYC to expedite the processing of our application. Not sure if this means anything, but I'm feeling optimistic that at least things are moving along!! Not sure what happens...

Re: request for police clearance Hi gypsygirl, not sure if this is normal. Did you get the original clearance three months prior to submitting your application or could it have expired?? Just a thought!!

Over the last couple of weeks, I've read a couple of posts about PR applicants who served in the Military or Police Force being subject to more intensive background checks. I'm wondering why this would be the case....wouldn't somebody who served in either be more likely to NOT have any problems...
