Congrats hgn and cprak0!!!!!! One question, were you asked to bring supporting documents to Oath ceremony, the originals of the docs submitted with application?

Got call from CIC again today after I left a voicemail. They asked me to show up for Oath Ceremony on Dec 9 and wanted to know guest list as they need security clearance. Feeling relieved .... :) No official letter yet or ECAS update.

I think the call was indeed from CIC, shoot I missed it :( :( :( I tried calling back but i get message "out of office till september 8" weird. Not sure what I should do now

Seems like using my real name on the forums was a bad idea :( I tried 10+ times calling back, same voice mail message. I asked call centre to verify if it was a legit number, they had no clue. I hope it was a legit call though...will keep re-trying

Called call center, agent mentioned there is nothing on my file that would suggest CIC called me, she also mentioned that sometimes they call first without adding any notes on file. She said she can ask the CIC agent to call back if needed and asked for my number. Meanwhile, I called back on...

I took test on Oct 14, DM on Oct 16.

I do not know if there is a way to call local office, but I plan to talk to a agent at CIC call centre tomorrow morning. I saw people who took test on Oct 2 got oath invite, I hope to get into one of the ceremonies in December, assuming they do not cancel it due to Christmas.

hey guys, I got a phone call but I was not able to attend. A lady left a message saying saying she is from CIC and would like me to be a part of "special citizenship ceremony" and asked me to call back. Possibly a scam... any ideas?

I had my test on Oct 14 and status changed to DM couple of days after. No oath invite yet, I know few people who got invite a month after test. On the other hand, Officer told me it will take 2-3 months. We can't do anything other than wait. It will be good to forget about it and you will get...

Update, ecas changed to "Decision Made". Just checked, I am not sure when it got changed, most likely it was Friday, Oct 16

so she did tell you your test results :P By the way, did you sign the document saying you do not have any criminal record? I was not asked/mentioned anything about fingerprints etc. The officer was very friendly :)

Screenings??? The officer told me that everything looks good and he is approving my application. I hope it is the case. By the way, does your ECAS show "decision made"? That will probably tell if they are doing some sort of additional screening and/or need fingerprints.

passed test today, 20/20 and they said oath invite will come in 2-3 months, and added "might be sooner".

Is it for me? I am in Canada since 2009

Hi All, got test on Oct 14, any suggestions on which documents to take (apart from those asked in invitation) and do I need to remember all those historical names/dates to pass test?
