I landed today, at the Windsor Immigration Centre. It took less than 15 minutes, between interview and getting a SIN issued. Thanks to everyone on this forum. It was a place of comfort and great information over the years (111 weeks!) that we were in process.

:D :D :D I received my "Decision Made" letter from Vegreville today. Just waiting for a letter from Windsor for my landing appointment and I'll be on my way.

They extended it once already, last June. Now they're saying I need to do it.

I called the CIC today. They say my background check still isn't complete, that they're not waiting on anything from me, and I should call back in three months :o to see if there are any changes. Is anyone else stuck in the background check? I have no idea what could be holding mine up.

I have a consultant who used to work for Immigration and made a phone call to find out where my case was at, because it's took so long.

I found out today that I've passed the security check, but they're still processing the criminal background check. My bring forward date is in two months, and my medical expires in June so if we're not finished by the next when open the file next, I'll probably have to redo the medical and wait...

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago. I wasn't transfered, but the agent told me to call back if I hadn't received/heard anything by the end of February (which is the 8 month mark of being in process).

My wife can login now, but it shows in process for both, even though we're in stage 2. :D

I called the CIC last week. Normally I've gotten the standard spiel about the standard wait time and to call back in a few months, the agent told me to call back at the end of this month if I hadn't heard anything. I don't know if I should take that as a positive sign or not. e-Cas hasn't worked...

No, I haven't. The last time I called the CIC, they weren't waiting on me for anything, and I just got my open work permit (I applied after AIP) so there don't seem to be any problems.

Yep, plenty of us 2011 people still waiting. Nothing since my AIP.

I wish that were always the case! I'm in Ontario, near Windsor, and I'm also waiting for stage 2. I should have my health card in 10 days, which is nice, but it'd sure be nice to have DM, too.

Ontario. I think it has to do with the medical extensions they gave people in June. A bunch of peoples medicals were expiring because of the long delays, so they extended them. In the process, it seems like that also pushed our processing out even further. My medical's been accepted, I sent all...

I just got off the phone with the CIC. I'd asked about the status of my second stage and the BF date. What she told me was that the concept of the BF date doesn't exist anymore. They're using a new computer system now. What she saw in the notes on my file was that the agent had requested...
