Got an update today finally. May 29 oath ceremony scheduled. No email yet. Good luck to all those who are waiting.hope these are signs of movement among December applicants.

Last update was lpp on March 9.

Everything got completed on March 15th and have been waiting for oath invitation since then. Sydney office.

Congrats.. I know it has been a long wait for you. Happy that you're finally seeing the finish line.

I got a GU as well today so hopefully it means something too hahah.

I called them recently and the answer was that the website says it could take 8 months. So, nothing is pending and I’m still within reasonable timeframes.

I see. So they are just rattling off the same line to everyone. There was one other poster who got the same response.

Thought I got a ghost update today (from Miss. Office) last updated is showing as today's date - but status is still Oath Ceremony "Not Started".

Anybody else in the same bucket ?

I also got a GU yesterday. First GU was April 12, second GU on May 14th. Still showing Oath not started, nothing changed .. hoping to see some movement soon.

Finally got the certificate after emailing Calgary visa office that I need the e-certificate since I will be traveling next week. The agent replied right away and I rushed to passport office for expedited process.

I am finally over with dealing with IRCC. 13 yrs total with multiple scenarios e.g. visa, permit, pr docs, prtd, sponsorship and ultimately citizenship. What a long (and a lot) of journey!. This forum has been my sole source of information throughout every process. I can't thank you enough to all contributors of this forum for sharing their info and experience.

Wishing you guys all the best with your final step of being a truly Canadian. Your new home your new country. Despite all of its pros and cons. We decided to become a part of this country.

Anyone else still waiting for updates since early April?

Last update was April 10, background completed.
LPP still in progress.

I guess time to call IRCC.

My last update was on April 4th and since then nothing happened, I called IRCC but in general, I cannot do nothing but waiting... Not sure when this waiting will ends.
Maybe until August so that I have a total 8 months - still a reasonable timeframe?
