After meeting the Residency requirement and applying for citizenship, should one stay in Canada during the entire application process? If no, at what stages are in country presence required in the application process?

Folks, I landed recently. I was trying to link my pr card application to cic account. The system is not able to identlfy my application. What could be wrong? For application no, i used the application no in COPR. Is that the correct way?
Thanks for the update. Good to hear! mine was submitted on 23 July - Just noticed that my GC Key has been updated stating the application approval and counterfoil details. How many days after this for them to send the passport to VFS - hope to receive it this week.
