Finally we landed !!!!!!! Last Monday my lawyer received the COPR from CIC. I immediately pick them up, got my family and drove to Peace Bridge in Fort Erie. The process was smooth both at US border and at Canada immigration office. We met a friendly officer that processed the papers rapidly...

I just discovered that some airlines require the eTa mandatory to get on board (even if is not mandatory for CIC yet). Ask before to get flight tickets.

I did the medical on March 4th and we're still waiting.....

On the CIC website it looks like that the PRTD is only feasible if you already had your PR and you lost it. Moreover you can only pay the fees if you are abroad.

Being a citizen from a visa exempt country (Italy), every time I've flown to Canada I have never been questioned by the airlines and I only filled my immigration form once arrived at the Canadian airport. Why now should be different?
