Atleast you have some updates ..your BG got completed. For me it’s nothing since AOR
Really I don’t understand the process , do they have a time line to open the files after it is BG completed I mean they return to file for next step after 4-5 months ? Some people in thread have a very good time line it can be days between each steps and others takes in each step 5-6 months to get one step a head .
Let’s hope for the best

What are some criteria on the basis of which we can be granted urgent processing?
I have a trip planned for Feb 28, 2022 - I was hoping for a quicker processing time(by Feb 15th) so I can get an entry visa stamped on the new passport. I have had my tickets booked for 2 months, I am worried if I don't get the oath invite in time - I'd have to ask for a delay in the oath ceremony - which can eventually result in indefinite delay :(
FP, test, and background verification was completed on Jan 10th

Please advise the best course of action.
This is in the IRCC website, https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/become-canadian-citizen/apply/urgently.html

We can only process citizenship applications urgently in special cases. We check every urgent request to see if it meets the conditions for urgent processing. If your application doesn’t meet the conditions, we will process it normally.

To apply for urgent processing, you must be eligible to apply for citizenship and have an emergency, such as:

  • needing Canadian citizenship to:
    • apply for a job
    • avoid losing your job
    • go to a Canadian school, college or university
  • needing to travel because of death or serious illness in your family and you can’t get a passport in your current nationality
  • receiving a successful Federal Court decision on an appeal on a previous application for citizenship
Even if these conditions apply to you, we may not be able to process your request urgently. If we do process your request urgently, we may not be able to do it in time to help your situation.

I am a paper applicant (APR 2021)
Is there any APR applicant who is still waiting to hear the updates after receiving the AOR?
I received nothing from IRCC besides the AOR that came in July 2021....don't know what's going on with my application, this is very strange as there are no updates at all so far after AOR.
You can check the spreadsheet, there are many 2021 January, February, March and April applicants still waiting to hear from IRCC after AOR, unfortunately, paper (family) applications are taking way longer to be processed than online applications!!! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iXCMs0mYtJZwYTTIH3LDmHK1tgK7yqAgQ5Jfyxv7BEI/edit#gid=2093304809

No it's still in process. How long does it typically take?
It usually updates to "complete" a few days after IRCC received the FP, you could probably try to call, send a webform, or requests ATIP/GCMS note to find out what happened and if they are waiting for something else to finalize your BG check.

got it. Yeah I understand. I did submit a web form before reading your comment. But I am not particularly confident. I'll wait patiently and will request a reschedule if it gets to that

That's true!
I was also trying to measure the trends by looking at the Edmonton paper applicants but most of the applicants are online. Even if you look at previous month applicants, there is no surety whether they are really active/inactive. There may be many applicants who are on the spreadsheet but not very keen to provide active updates so it's hard to measure in such cases.

Congratulations on passing your test. It all depends on your local office, it could be within a couple of days, weeks or months! Could you please share with us the following?

Hey , everyone
I have some concern regarding my the process.
1. Did CIC send instructions in the email about how to proceed with test or just update on the tracker.
2. Yesterday,They updated in the tracker regarding finger print submission and mentioned they sent the email but I didn't get email for finger print submission and test.
