It depends on how early your background check is completed. At the moment it is taking several months. Keep an eye on your background check status.
Thanks, is there anything else that needs to be done after the background checks?

Many thanks

Call IRCC to find the stage of security and criminality check. Close to the the end of the checks many people get RPRF request, if not paid upfront and this RPRF request is a good sign. Some people get additional documents requests which may or may not delay the check as it depends on what documents are being asked.
once this background check finishes , we can expect DM.
My both checks are in process since August.

PCC is valid for a year so both your mom and dad should still be good

Hello Group Member, can you please guide me on my situation. My ecas status shows decision made and I received email stating I meet eligibity requirement as a sponsor and my file has been forwarded to New Delhi Office. My parents are in USA at the moment as a USA green card holder . Due to person and health reason not sure if they will / can return back home. In this situation is it okay to process the file from New Delhi while applicant lives in USA. As of yet I have not received request for Biometric, medical or police clearance.
Please let me know. Thank you!

Hey All, I have applied through PGP sponsorship 2021 program in feb,21 and my parents received biometrics request today, as per the letter they have 30 days to submit their biometrics, however they are in India and VFS Global (CIC authorized Visa Application Center)doesnt have any time slots avaiable for biometrics appointments before dec 15th, which is well beyond 30 days .Even every nearby cities has the same situation as they are dealing with huge back-log. Has anyone faced simmilar situation? What should I do here?

Thanks so much, I have seen the background checks starting quite some time ago (although i dont recall the exact dates).

I did actually get additional document request (additional supporting documents for proof of relationship between sponsor and PA and also CSQ from Quebec). Are these the documents that you were thinking of?

Many thanks

I meant documents like RCMP fingerprints, PCC, travel history, declaration of government and military positions.
