May has been on purse since the beginning of the pandemic. Even calling CIC won’t help. All they say is still in process.
Their answers are always the same, everything is in progress, no details are disclosed.
eligibility:Not started
security :Not started

Hello. We sent an Inland Spousal PR + OP for my wife. IRCC emailed about having to pay for biometric fees. And my wife already had her biometrics last year (2019) in the PH when she applied for her tourist visa. As far as I know biometrics are valid for 10 years. Is this a new protocol? Do we need to submit a new biometrics for her? Im not sure if the email was just system generated. Please need your help. Should I just pay the biometrics fee? Ive read that they refund if it was asked in error. Thank you
Hi, yes you need to provide biometrics if you apply for permanent residency, even if you already had your wife's biometrics taken for the temporary resident visa. IRCC requires another biometrics for PR. Here is the link for the reference of the information below https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/campaigns/biometrics/facts.html

How often you need to give your fingerprints and photo
Visitor visa, study and work permit applicants
You only need to give your biometrics once every 10 years. You don’t need to give your biometrics again until the 10-year period expires.

If you gave biometrics in the past as part of an application for a visitor visa, work or study permit and they’re still valid, you don’t need to give them again.

Find out if your biometrics are still valid and when they expire by using the Check Status Tool.

Permanent residence applicants
You’ll need to give your biometrics and pay the fee each time you apply, even if you gave your biometrics in the past for another application.

Find out how to give your biometrics.

We got our application approved today.

Our time line is May 2019 applicant.

Medicals passed on October 9th.
Police Clearance Request for Sponsor: Feb 4
Submitted Feb 6.
Sponsor Approval: July 8th
Decision Made: July 13

Finally the wait is over. The application is approved. Looks like they have removed the landing step in the process for inland peeps. It just shows the application is approved and we need to print off the letter and send it back with 2 photos, so no more passport requests.

Which was pretty neat.

Good luck to everyone who is waiting.
