If you are in Asia, Asia-Pacific and the Americas, it doesn't get roll out till end of this year. Within EMEA, certain set would need to provide it (I think AOR submission from today onwards might have this extra step but not sure). Anyhow, if needed, I'm sure you will be instructed. It's just another step in terms of both money and effort to get final outcome going forward.
Just checked too and noticed that biometrics information from a previous temporary visa application has been uploaded. It's got a validity of 10 years.
Called IRCC just now and got to know that eligibility status is Recomended Pass. AOR 6th june..

hi! I tried calling them at around 8.30 am (ADT) and then again at 3.30 pm (ADT) and managed to speak to an agent. best of luck!

Can we ask agent where our application is being processed and also when did I pass medical ?
Spoke to a courteous agent who said the first part of my background check has been completed and the second part starts soon. My file which is currently at CIO, Sydney, Nova Scotia will be transferred to my LVO after the background check has been completed. He didn't say when, just soon.
So does anyone know what exactly it means to have passed the first part of background checks? I never knew they were in two parts?
