Touche, exact same case with me. Gave ielts 4 times due to 0.5 in writing. My TRF arrived on 22nd feb morning, what a bummer. And now will lose 5 point after 17th march ( another reason of disliking being old ).
By reading what you have written itself I feel heart broken. What are your scores currently by the way?

People,
Do I have to get PCC done from US where I lived for almost 12 years? I left US to return to India in May 2016. Am asking since I read somewhere that any country where stay is more than 6 months, PCC should be obtained.

I can get PCC here in India easily though.
Yes you should get a PCC from all countries that you have lived 6 months or more in a row, so get US PCC, it's easy now

Hi Friends,

I have questn related to POF.
My spouse had created a Fixed deposit dated in month of Nov 17.
Should i use that as POF and include a letter that i have access to fund.

Or

Should i ask her to liquidate the FD and transfer in our joint account.

Plz help.

Thanks
As a married couple you can use that too, just get bank letter, 6 months statements and a letter with affidavit that you have been given access to that account, and finally your spouse should sign that

regards

French speaking candidates points will jump somewhat. And sogeneral English speaking candidates at the bottom of ITA will miss out. It is yet to be seen magnitude of impact. But it will happen as they want more French speakers. One should not be surprised, Canada is somewhat i for a bleeding heart liberal society. That helps people like us, but also means French speakers are to be let in for diversity sake. That said, impact will be marginal to moderate.
well said and in addition to that, TEF is not easy test, there are so many who are studying and they are mostly English speaking guys, believe me in about 5-6 months from now there will be more TEF clb7 applicants, I'm sure about and also we have some groups for that purpose

Good luck everyone!

Guys, do anything to get your CRS scores up. Initially wrote my CELPIP text with the following scores

Listening - CLB 10
Reading - CLB 10
Writing - CLB 8
Speaking - CLB 9

This gave me a total CRS score of 435.

I took the risk of rewriting it a month later and got the following scores:

Listening - CLB 10
Reading - CLB 10
Writing - CLB 9
Speaking - CLB 9

My CRS score jumped up to 480.

The ROH is real. You can do it, already gathering my documents for ITA. Best of luck guys.

PS: if anyone here resides in Edmonton, feel free to message me :)
Well deserved one, and bravo for your achievement!
Now get ready your docs for post-ITA application, good luck!

Here you go...

List of documents:

  • Medical reports
  • Police Certificate (from all countries you've resided)
  • Bank statement
  • Letter of employment
  • Certificate from your University
  • Birth Certificate
  • Job offer letter
  • Copy of bio page of passport
  • Digital photo
Should edit some documents for new comers:

- Medical report (upfront or after ITA);
- PCC (from all countries a person has lived 6 months or more in a row since the age of 18);
- Proof of Funds:
a) if you are holder that account - Bank letter; 6 months statements
b) if your spouse is holder: Bank letter; 6 months statements; a letter that you have been given an access to that account along with your spouse affidavit and signature;
c) If you get a gift deed: Bank letter, 6 months statements; Gift deed letter showing all necessary information with affidavit and notarized, for more info please visit at: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/proof-of-funds-format-of-gift-deed-affidavit-and-loe.487054/

- Reference letter (sometimes that calls also as a Letter of employment) as per CIC requirements; if not MET - you may add your 6 months pay slips, job offer letter, contract etc;
- Degree certificate (you should scan in color the degree that you have got an ECA);
- Scan IELTS and/or TEF in color;
- Scan of your Passport or Travel document: bio pages and all pages with stamps, visas if applicable;
- Digital photo;
- Marriage certificate if applicable;
- Job offer letter if applicable;
- Birth certificate for minors only if you apply through direct ITA and mandatory for everybody if you apply for a provincial program like OINP;
- Applicable fees

Hope this list helps to get a first understanding for gathering required documents
Good luck everyone!

Hang on bro. There'll probably be two draws before ur bday. U should be in. Worst case, opt for OINP if you've been nominated. Remain hopeful
Well doubt any two weeks draw will touch 441, one week or today and upper week then there is a chance.

I have a question about supplying a copy of a degree certificate.

I lost my original certificate when I moved house a few years ago. I do have a digital scan of the original that I took before I moved. I've also got a certified replacement degree certificate, issued by my University.

If I get ITA, which would be better to supply? I'm worried that if I attached a copy of the original, I wouldn't be able to reproduce the physical document if asked. And I couldn't find any information on whether certified replacement certificates are acceptable.

I've already had my credentials assessed by ICES and have a separate certificate from them.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
