I have atip notes from csis showing all the dates. I have an email confirming cbsa has my file right now. GCMS notes doesn't update regularly during these stages nor would show anything until cbsa sends the file back to ircc.
I have a note and official letter from CSIS that they sent the file to CBSA but I am not sure that the delay is due to the CBSA SS. Is this email from CBSA or CIC? the only way to find this is to order a security note from CBSA and we are still waiting to get that one.

From mp office forwarding a copy of ircc office response.

If you order csis atip notes (different than that official generic letter which I received as well) they will send you a CD with all the ss activities and dates. In there it shows cbsa is the client and the file was sent back to cbsa.

"guys u wont believe wt i heard from these agents when i called them....i am not sure if it was a slip of tongue or something.....they told me that there are other options of applying to PR as express entry and etc....and that the current applications will be carried over to the next year ....she didnt tell me a reason but in her conversation im feeling that she is trying to tell me that it is going to take another year to finalize......i insisted again as to what could be the reason....nd she told me that there are only 2-3 officers in sydney or other offices who takes care of all these files which are over 25000 applications.....nd that they have requested government to appoint more staff for processing these applications.....the government has rejected the plea nd said that it is over the budget.....

so in short that lady told me that the officers are on a kinda strike nd doing the application at their own pace.......processing, background checks, security, and finalizing are done all by these 2-3 officers who are present there. the government cannot abolish this category of skilled worker pnp paper based as this would effect their immigration standards and put their immigration down in the eyes of other nations.

i am a march 31 applicant.....im also going thru the same situation....guys if you have any option of applying under express entry go ahead and do it.......u can apply simultaneously along with the old PR application.....when one of the application finalizes go ahead and withdraw the other application. i know its expensive and time consuming and pain.....but it will be worth it......or if you dont want to then go ahead and wait......it might come someday, months or years......god knows...."

It can't be true. You can see IRCC's budget for this year and the planned budget for the upcoming years on their website. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/rpp/2016-2017/

They have about 57 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) staff for provincial nominee program and over 220 for other classes combined.
You can also see their quarterly statistics online. They have a backlog but it is clearing up. 2 or 3 people can't do that much work.

Should the time limit to respond to your request be extended, you will be notified in writing.

When complete, it usually takes another five (5) to ten (10) working days for the packages to reach requestors by mail. Delays sometimes occur. If your package is not delivered following this timeframe please contact the ATI office for further assistance.

Are we gonna face the 2008 applicants' dilemma and have our applications canceled and be asked to apply again?

Dnt you think that CBSA is provided with specific time frame to give advice to IRCC? I dnt think that its indefinite process
