You should go with ECA too. If you start now, you can expect the result by mid September and with a bachelors degree, you will get 8 points. Worth a try as these points will be sure shot. Can't say anything about IELTS scores though. They will add up to 20 points in your total score. So IMO, if you have a chance, go for everything to increase your score

Yeah, I understand you. But the problem is with my hubby's university. Their attitude to work can make you puke, they take more than a month to send transcripts and longer to verify, which might make the overall time up to 3/4 months. That is why we are trying to avoid it, it would have been worth it, but it is what it is.

Nigeria, the University is in one of the south western states, let me just leave the name out.

Believe or not, in Canada most of people are getting their vacation in Summertime for about 4 weeks or more and wintertime they get a break of 1 week, does that sound logic now or should I add more details?

Actually this is very true for a lot of westerners that I have worked with. Vacations are from July to August because school starts September. This is the only time they spend time with their kids who go to school.

that is disappointing score.
for me i did the ielts twice, first time i prepared for writing in 30 minutes and i got 6.5
the second time i prepared for 45 days with focus on writing for several hours daily and 6 hours or more on weekend, and i got 6.5 too haha

I hate the writing part! I got a 6.5 too. I know I'm not amazing at writing but never thought I was a 6.5. Good luck when retaking the test!

Hi Fellow Motivators and Warriors,

I have been going through the forum and found out that there are just many people who are struggling with the writing part of IELTS at 6.5 band score, and this is surely making their dream see the face of ultimate disappointment which is very sad.

Nevertheless, I also found many people on this forum who aced ielts with adequate bands on writing, so why don't we aid the individuals who are struggling with Writing part, by sharing with them the tactics that they can follow themselves to improve their writing, and maybe we can just help them reach their now far off dream. Afterall this thread is all about ray of hope

For instance, suppose we have model essays sample written by experts, in this case how a person can utilize the model essays to improve his writing and bring them to band 7 quality at least? I am sure supports from the experts will motivate such people to practice enough and crack that magical band 7 in their writing section. Thank you so much and hope at the end of the day, not a single dream gets unfulfilled and see the light of landing into the land of Maple leaf ^_^

Take care of your new ITA baby. We are still in our first trimester and suffering a little morning sickness. But 3 or 4 months will pass by quickly and we'll get there as well. Get the Yukon party planning started cause I have a drinking challenge to win.
