I have just gotten my Pakistan PCC. It states the duration like from 2001 to till date . Is this okay or does it need to have specific date and month?
Everyone from Pakistan living abroad is facing this issue. Mainly because the pcc issued from CPO Pakistan states specific dates. The problem is that if your PCC is from 2001 till date and currently you been living in a different country for the last few years let's say, doesnt that mean you are showing that your are resident in 2 countries at the same time? Because let's say you currently live in UAE, your PCC will state you are resident in Pakistan till the current date....

Dear irfan295,
I requested PAL office (district police officer) to mention dates, they said we can't mentioned it because we check complete history instead of specific time period. What to do now?

Surprisingly, Austraila and UK also don't mentioned time period on PCC....I seen both.
It's better if they don't mention specific dates as that means your police record in clear until whatever date the pcc was issued. The problem is actually with pcc's that do specify a date i.e. from pakistan.

i think its the other way around, as you are visiting Pakistan and your cumulative visit time period is more then 6 months, so its better if they write till date.

Hi

I confused with regards to dates to be mentioned on PCC.

Since 1998, my permanent address is in Karachi (I turned 18 in 2000), however I have lived in Lahore for study purposes for 6 years (Sep 2000 - May 2004 & Sep 2006 till May 2008). June 2008 and onwards I am based in Karachi.

1) Should I get one PCC for Karachi keeping in view that it is my permanent address or I will need to get 2 certificates, one for Karachi and one for Lahore?

2) If two certificates are required, is it ok if I state the dates 1998 till to date in the Karachi PCC and mention the study dates listed in point 1 for Lahore PCC?

This is a pressing matter for me and I will appreciate if anyone could share some guidance.

Regards

Dear members:

I just received my PCC for the city I live in since 18 years in Pakistan. I have three matters of concern:

1) My PCC states that "there is nothing adverse/criminal against him on the local police station (name of the police station of my locality) to Date" They havent mentioned any initial date. On my inquiry, they said as I have lived in this city since 18 and still live, therefore writing "to date" is more appropriate as it covers the entire period by default. Is that alright if there is no "From" date?

2) Within the same city I have changed addresses multiple times, but never left the city itself. Whereas my PCC mentions my most recent address and the police station only, although the PCC itself is released to me by the capital superintendent of police as per CIC requirements. They said, as per their format, they issue certificate on the most recent address only. Can this cause my PCC to be rejected, as i have mentioned multiple addresses in the history?

3) Lastly, my PCC also mentions my ancestral address as per my identity card, and that is an address of a different city. The PCC ends with the line "Further investigations maybe done from the permanent address". Should I then get one PCC from that other city also, even though I have never lived there except for short visits once or twice a year.?

The police department was kind enough and told me that they can accomodate all my reservations on the certificate, but then it wont look legal at all, as their format is available to al the embassies and if mine is different than how their regular format is, they might reject my PCC.

Please give me your expert feedback if I am good to go? Thanks, and sorry for such a long post.

I also applied for a PCC from the permanent address. Have you already submitted your PCC? do u think no mention of initial date and mention of one pal station while having lived on multiple addresses can be a problem?

Not exactly sure about your case. But in my case, I have lived in Karachi, Islamabad and Dubai since I reached 18th birthday but my timelines were relatively simple:

Karachi PCC: Birth - 2010
Islamabad PCC: 2010 - 2014
Dubai PCC: 2014 - current

I think it would make sense to get your PCC like this:
Karachi PCC: 1998 - 2000
Lahore PCC: 2000 - 2004
??? PCC: 2004 - 2006
Lahore PCC: 2006 - 2008
Karachi PCC: 2008 - current

I am not sure if you can combine Lahore and Karachi PCCs such that your Lahore PCC covers 2000 - 2008 and Karachi PCC covers 1998 - 2017. My application is in progress and I am not sure what works best so take this with a grain of salt. Just trying to help. Maybe, some senior member can suggest a better way.

Thanks for your response. For Karachi, I have asked, the concerned police representative said the certificate can be issued from 1998 till to date. They won't capture the split period. Given the fact that it's my permanent address, I am hoping that this wouldn't be an issue. What do you think?

For Lahore, the process is complicated. Apparently, they need the applicant to come in person and submit the form. However, not living there anymore might be a hindrance in getting a certificate. Any idea on how can I go abt getting it made from Lahore?

it depends on your address history, if your address history and PCC are the same then its okay, but if your address doesn't match the PCC then you have to get according to your address history.

- Cannot confirm anything dude but I personally think this should be fine and makes sense.

- Why don't you go in person to Lahore and get the PCC from the appropriate police station? I flew to Islamabad just to get my PCC.
