I got AIP today. So happy about it. And sent Fingerprinting Police check.
27th April 2016 Applicant.

But I'm glad you're in AIP country... Generally speaking, AIP, means you're just waiting for security, medical, and criminality checks to land!

Hey, Trying to get some insights about how long is it between sending applications and receiving notice to get medicals exam? Trying to plan my husband to visit me but at same time I have no clues if they can say 2 weeks after 'get your medical exam' and I think they only give 30 days to do it...Thanks!

You say visit you... Did he apply inland (in Canada) or Outland (outside Canada).

You can't say that you didn't do anything. Because you have been providing us very useful information since last year. Love reading your posts.
And I think I have passed my medical already because when i call cic to check my status the automated message says that Medical results been successful.
So I guess it's pretty much criminality, since they asked for RCMP reports as well. If everything goes smooth.

Very short! From the time you are called in, you will be with an agent for 5-10 minutes max. Questions are very simple:
Did you commit any crime in Canada or anywhere else in the world? Do you have any dependents that are not already listed on the application?
To the sponsor, (although they didn't ask @profiler ) you will have an undertaking engagement for 36 months starting today, do you still want to sponsor your wife/husband ?
Then they will tell you: congratulations you are now a permanent resident of Canada.

I didn't apply yet, if everything goes well, should apply by the beginning of july. We wanted him to visit in August but well, I don't know how long it takes before they send a notice to send either police record or medical checks. Does it takes several months or it's the first thing that come? We don't want him to get here and have to go back 2 weeks later..
