Here are the results of Canada's most recent Express Entry draw on February 2, 2023.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has sent out 3,300 invites to those applying for Canadian permanent residence in the latest draw. For the first time in the history of the Express Entry system, this draw only selected from eligible candidates who applied to the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP).

Yesterday, IRCC had an Express Entry draw that exclusively selected candidates who applied to a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This draw was yet another diversion from the typical all-program draws, which usually invite candidates from any of the three programs contained under Express Entry: the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the FSWP, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

Today's draw invited applicants with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 489. The tie-breaking date and time for this draw was 16:09:00 UTC on March 29, 2022.

Express Entry candidates still in the applicant pool can expect Canada to conduct another draw in around two weeks.

About Express Entry

Canada's federal government uses Express Entry to bring skilled workers to this country, offering permanent residence (PR) in Canada to attract these highly sought-after foreign nationals.

The Express Entry process involves several distinct steps, the first of which requires interested candidates to self-verify their eligibility for at least one of the three programs that are contained within this system. Once that step is complete, immigration applicants through the Express Entry system can submit a profile through IRCC's website and check their CRS score.

Every two weeks or so, IRCC will conduct a draw that randomly selects Express Entry candidates who are above the cut-off CRS score for that particular draw. These individuals will then receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) and are now welcome to apply for Canadian PR.

Once they receive an ITA, Express Entry applicants have 60 calendar days to finish and submit their PR application to IRCC online.
