Howdy Everyone,

I know I have seen this mentioned elsewhere, but for the life of me I can not find an appropriate answer, so with that...

My question, with our supporting documents, letters, cards letter of employment, marriage license receipts etc. I am in the process of scanning everything, the version submitted with the application forms to CIC, should we include the scanned copies or the originals?

Thanks Kindly
Dan

cards, letters to each other, airline tickets, phone bills....etc that can be copies.....letter of employment original.....marriage license copy.....if not in english or french must be translation.......hope that helps.....

hey
with ours we included mostly all photocopies.

although the letter of employment needs to be original because of signature. anything with signatures i believe has to be original. so the letters from family have to be originals too because they should have signatures on them.

but im not sure about the marriage license, we are common law so our notary paper was the original. but i dunno if that applies to marriage license aswell.

but as for recipts, tickets, bills, stuff like that it was all photocopies

i hope this helps a bit.

Thanks guys! Appreciate it, Anything that is official and signed signed I will include the original, but I will scan everything first. Marriage license I planned on sending an original (bought extra copies just for that reason), personal correspondence I will send scanned copies. Sounds good!

Thanks Again!

Dan

Do we need to sign or write Certified Same as Original on the photocopied supporting documents such as passport pages, airline tickets, etc.?

No. If they really must see originals, they will request them, which I doubt they will.
