XEP00****** AOR received - what does it mean, and how to access ECAS?

hello... i hope this will help... last month i phoned cic to ask questions about me getting an BOWP... then they gave me my file no. with the XEP... i was so confused coz i know that aor.. or file no. should have only EP...coz thats what my friends are getting...then i phoned again to ask about that.. they told me that YES.. thats my file no.. it has X in front coz its still under inventory or cic files... but when they about to send an email..they will remove the X...and it means that ur application is on the system already...or is able to track in the ECAS...thats what they told me. i got AOR last monday (nov 12 applicant) but just EP in my aor.

and YES it will take 4-5 days to be able to access ECAs. mine just get through today. they usually update ECAs every tuesday.

Not sure if this is the same for everyone, but for me personally it took 10 days.

Hi everyone!

Just a scenario: I don't have AOR email from CIO yet. CIO received my application DEC-03,2015

I asked an agency (they require some payment, $20.00 as I remember) that they can help me check the status of my application within 45days.

I received the email from this agency and the DETAILED INFORMATION of my application or GCMS (GLobal Case Mngt System).

And I was surprised that it already has:

UCI/PARTY ID: T000000000000 (T followed by 12 numbers)
APPLICATION#: XEP00000000 (XEP followed by 8 numbers)

Does this mean that my application is ON PROCESS? I checked ECAS but nothing, maybe because AOR is not sent to me yet?


Please if anyone same experience as mine, please lighten me up!

Woah, blast from the past thread resurrection! I remember all that confusion last April!

What ended up happening was that 15 days later I received another email, this time with just the EP number. After that my ECAS became active a few days later.

This was a strange time for application communication. Express Entry had just started, and there had been no contact from CIC all year for any applications filed Sep-Dec 2014. Then on April 15th the flood gates opened and everyone was trying to figure out what it all meant. Nobody had ever seen an XEP before, and we were dying for more information.

In answer to your question, I don't think your file is in process yet, but at least they've definitely received it.

Hahaha! Thanks for the reply! I am really lost in the bush.... So I search for XEP subject on this forum and voila! this one was suggested, though a bit old but still helpful details are in.

So I have to wait the OFFICIAL EMAIL from AOR, indicating the EP/UCI#.

This one was just from the agency that helped me locate the status.

I hope this is a continious process!!! Godbless us all!

X ep+8 digits mean AOR
ep+8 digits means official AOR.
